Built to be usable by everyone

Our accessibility statement for thesimcal.com and the theSimCal platform. Last updated August 7, 2026.

theSimCal should work for everyone, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or other assistive technology. This page describes the standard we work to, what is in place today, what we know still needs work, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.

Our conformance target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

This website (thesimcal.com) was self-assessed against that standard in August 2026. The theSimCal platform itself is under ongoing accessibility review; a conformance report (VPAT) will be made available on request as that review is completed. If your procurement process needs an accessibility questionnaire answered, contact us and we will complete it.

What is in place on this site

Full keyboard operability, including menus, accordions, and image lightboxes
A skip-to-content link and visible focus indicators on every page
Text and button colors that meet AA contrast ratios
Text alternatives for informative images and screenshots
Properly labelled form fields with clear error messages
A logical heading structure on every page
Reduced-motion support: animations are disabled when your system asks for it
Layouts that reflow at 200% zoom and on small screens, with generous touch targets

Known limitations

We would rather be honest than complete. What we know about today:

  • The downloadable PDF versions of our help guides are not yet fully optimized for screen readers. The web versions of the guides are the accessible versions and contain the same content.
  • The accessibility review of the theSimCal platform is still in progress. We will list confirmed limitations here as the review identifies them.

Tell us if something is in your way

If you hit a barrier anywhere on this site or in the platform, we want to know. Email hello@thesimcal.com or use our contact form, and tell us the page and what happened. We aim to reply within two business days, and we will work with you to provide what you need in an accessible way in the meantime.

This statement is based on a self-assessment and is reviewed whenever the site or platform changes materially.
